Another wonderful stay at Fleur de Lis. The secret garden room is a serene oasis with a lovely private garden and outdoor seating. The room itself is beautiful and everything is as always impeccably clean and well maintained. Wifi is very good and a desk in the room allows for a functional remote work environment also . Hester and her team go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. I became very ill the night before I was due to checkout, my room was already booked for the next day by another guest - Hester so kindly found another location steps away for me to stay, I was very grateful. Looking forward to my next stay!
Phenomenal expereince with a perfect host! Hester has created a phenomenal experience, with a beautiful property, elegant finishes and extremely capable and professional staff. Small touches throughout our stay made this experience top-notch for our stay. Hester was the consummate host with the perfect level of engagement. The guesthouse was perfectly situated close to shopping malls, tourist destinations and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be doing so again the next time we're in South Africa.

I recently stayed at Fleur de Lis for 4 nights and what an amazing expereince! Not only was the breakfasts brilliantly prepared and delicious, Hester and her staff were super friendly and carinf, popping in to say hello and checking if I needed anything. With my days busy and packed, the tranquil setting of Fleur de Lis provided me with a beacon for rest and recovery and I cannot wait to visit again this time with hubby as well.
I had a wonderful and relaxing time staying with Hester and Maria-kind and generous hosts who do a great job of taking care of their guests. The guesthouse is a private oasis that overlooks a serene garden and sparkling pool. Situated in a large secure estate, perfect for taking long walks and bird watching with miles of gorgeously maintained gardens and paths. Inside meticulous care has clearly been taken to provide a luxurios, comfortable and relaxing environment with everything a guest might need, thoughtfully in exactly the right place. All furnishings are high quality and everything is kept very clean on a daily basis. Great internet, generator and a comfortable desk and chair in the room also makes remote work possible. I highly recommend staying at Fleur de Lis Guesthouse and am looking forward to my next stay. There was really nothing that I did not like.
We had a wonderful stay at this guest house over the weekend and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The host clearly puts exceptional effort into ensuring the property is beautifully appointed and that every possible need is catered for , nothing was overlooked. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made us feel right at home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the perfect start to the day. We would highly recommend this guest house and would gladly stay here again.
Felt like home from the minute I entered. The onboarding process was very smooth with all the steps clearly laid out to enter the estate and the guest house. Wonderful conversation with the family, delicious breakfast, thoughtful snacks, elegant interior design. Sue is very kind and helpful. Great location away from Joburg and closer to several well-maintained hikes. It's everything you would expect from a well run family guesthouse and more.
What a beautiful and extravagant experience. Tastefully decorated with a French flare, warming welcoming its visitors. Everything was perfectly clean and fresh. The cooking was a class of its own and the presentation compares to any five star hotel. The cherry on top was the bird sanctuary next door with its beautiful loeries nest in the trees and the two delightful yorkies, Bells and Bailey, who welcomed us so whole heartedly. Fleur de Lis is a gem that I am so thrilled to have been referred to and would invite anyone. Thank you Hester Meyer, we were truly blessed.
Fleur de Lis is an amazing venue, well-appointed with everything required to facilitate a productive business stay and a romantic weekend away. Ms Meyer is truly a wonderful host, who clearly strives on taking care of her guests. She goes above and far beyond to ensure that patrons leave feeling like family. I will certainly be returning at the very next opportunity.
